(Al) Renaud, 84, passed away October 14, 2016 at the hospital in Thetford Mines, Quebec.

Al is survived by his wife Alice of 55 years, his son Albert III Renaud: his children Charlotte, Alice, Camryn and Callum; his son Stephen Renaud  and his wife Nadine, and their three children: Jack, Layla and Joseph; and his daughter Andrea Renaud Masse and her husband Kevin M. Masse and their three children: Camilienne, Jade and Ezekiel.

Al was born on September 16, 1932 in Hardwick, Vermont, son of Albert and Lydia (Brochu) Renaud, and was the youngest or their 9 children. Al went into the Air Force in which he served for four years. He went on to graduate form Lyndon State College in Education and then received his Master's Degree he found the love of his life, and on August 19, 1961 he married Alice J. Jackman of Vergennes, Vt.

After their marriage, Al and Alice taught in Vermont, New York, and then in Chibougamau, QC.  Finalizing his teaching and coaching career of 30 years in Chibougamau, Al then continued to enjoy  his retirement and passion for hunting and fishing. With a deer camp in Hardwick and his trips to Anticosti Island he was at his best in the midst of the outdoors. Toward the final years of his life he enjoyed simply going to his camp in Hardwick and being there with Alice. Al was proud to share it with his family and have it ready for generations to come. Grampy our Uncle Al was very well known bu his grandchildren, nieces and nephews for his "great stories" that you never knew if they were true or not! But they sure were good!

To celebrate his 30 years of teaching and coaching, visitation and a celebration of Al's life will take place in the Room of Champions at A.S. Johnson School (919, West Mooney Street, Thetford Mines, G6G 3L1) on Saturday, November 12th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

The Renaud family would like to thank the Nurses and Palliative Care Team at the hospital for their care and dedication, and Dr Piuze for all his work and for his friendship.

Peace to all!
